Oh Hey 2013

New Years really snuck up on us this year. We’re just back in Idaho and recovering from travel and vacation fun. Took me until late Monday afternoon to even realize it was New Years Eve, so I sent Dan an emergency-buy-some-sparkling-cider-text so we could toast to 2013 at midnight. That’s exactly what we did. Then we celebrated the New Year by finally seeing the Hobbit and indulging the bump in some Cafe Rio. And of course some goal making. What is a New Year without new goals?
2013 Goals
Learn more
Get rid of clutter
Take risks
Have patience
Be a great mom

That last one really consumes me. The best part of 2012 was most definitely finding out about our new addition and having him join us in 2013 will undoubtedly be the best part of this year! If all other resolutions and goals fell by the wayside but this one I’d be ok. I just want to be the best mama I can to this little guy. There are many feelings of nervousness and excitement as I think of Dan and I stepping into our roles as parents, but I couldn’t ask for a better companion for the challenge. Happy New Year to you all!

  1. This was a beautiful post! My son is 14 months and I've discovered that as my son grows so does my patience. Kinda interesting how that works 🙂 You're going to have a wonderful 2013! I love your blog!

  2. Your windmill photo makes me miss Wyoming!
I love all of your goals but the last one is my favorite.
I will also be a mama in 2013 so that's something that's always, always on my mind these days. =]
